For my final project of the UX Writers Collective UX Writing Fundamentals course, I worked with a fictional app called Handshake. The app is an easy way for freelancers and project owners to manage their budgets, communications, and payments.
I updated user interface copy and wireframed simple design revisions in preparation for a mid-project design review. I also recommended user testing and legal review for specific elements. I also drafted onboarding and offboarding emails for the experience.
My updates to resulted in:

Headings that are parallel and sequential

Proper capitalization

Adherence to voice and tone standards

User-facing language instead of jargon

Buttons that are consistent and descriptive

Microcopy that lets the user know what has happened and what to expect next

Improved wayfinding

Friendly onboarding and offboarding messaging that encourages engagement and potentially gathers important data
